Last week I had the chance to visit the South End apartment of Boston jewelry designer April Soderstrom. I spent the evening with April gushing over her one-of-a-kind, edgy pieces and hearing about her passion for all types of design. Her affinity for high quality materials and stones is apparent through her handmade, colorful pieces. April’s passion for color, clean lines her studies of ethnic designs are traditions are the major influences of her jewelry. She spends hours creating pieces she loves and fulfilling custom orders from clients who want ASJ pieces for a formal event, bridesmaids for a wedding, and even pageant jewelry. She gifted me with a beautiful handmade necklace and hoop earrings—both of which I adore. Here are a few snapshots of her studio...
